Reports up to 50 mounded graves possibly all or most destroyed in 1989 - 2 dozen or so graves in adjacent area not mounded type with fieldstones for head & foot in danger. lot is on proposed commercial subdivision - mayor of travelers rest roy reynolds and developer brett tankersly refuse to have study done to locate remaining graves and protect them. this site is thought to be very old possibly pre 1800's and was said to contain Indian burials as well as early settlers.
