Other_Information: The cemetery has been totally outgrown buy the forest. The was a Cemetery initially used for an Almshouse in the 1800\'s and then the Tewksbury State Hospital. There are approximately 9000 bodies buried there. Some with no grave markers the vast majority with identical iron, nameless, numbered markers. There is a lot of history tied to this cemetery. The Cemetery has been neglected and consumed by the Forest. A grass root volunteer effort to try and restore it is underway.
